Containers, cylinders,tanks shall be separated from combustible material, waste, vegetation ,source of heat and conditions that present exposure hazard to or from each other.
Various Equipment needs to be evaluated for signs of damage to the cable or plug, look for cracked casing, exposed wires, twisting or cuts to the cables, loose screws and bent pins. Also look for hand made efforts of insulating like masking tape over connections.

Install ground fault circuit interrupter or GFCI ,it is a special type of outlet that prevents shocks. These outlets are recommended for areas where water is used. Install GFCIs in bathrooms, kitchens (within 6 feet of the sink), laundry areas, garages, basements, outdoor outlets, and around pools, saunas, and hot tubs. Test these outlets monthly.

Examine all cords on a monthly basis. If wires are showing or a cord is frayed, discard it immediately. Select the appropriate gauge of wire to safely carry the rated load. Do not use unrated household-type cords or plug adaptors. Damaged cords are hazardous and can create fire or shock.

Do not use Fire extinguisher on electrical equipments unless it is clearly marked for that purpose,use sand and blanket instead.
Keep liquid away from all equipment connected to the electricity supply and dispose of any old cups or cans that may be near your machine. Electrically powered machines may become live to the touch after having liquid spilled on them.
Do not touch any electric circuits when your hands are wet or bleeding from a cut or abrasion.
